New Beginnings is run by good people who mean well, but they have adopted the "Purpose Driven Church" methods of Rick Warren which focus more on church growth in terms of how they conduct their ministry and that means that they place a greater emphasis on self improvement and soft moral teachings then they do the hard biblical truths of the Bible. The fact that we live in a fallen world, that no man is righteous, that the heart is desperately wicked and is never to be trusted, that sin resides in us all and that Jesus Christ is our ONLY means of salvation, that the most celebrated sin of homosexuality is ungodly, that Islam, the Jehova Witness cult, Mormonism, Buddism, Hinduism, etc., etc., are all false religions and roads to Hell are just a few of the hard issues that will more than likely never be discussed regularly from the pulpit at NBCC. But on the whole, they have the right Christ, do good works in the community, and they are very nice & welcoming.
