Scam! I've been sucked in twice over the course of 5 years...once for free toys for children during Easter. And once most recently, for assistance in paying rent, utilities, and free gas/grocery gift cards. For the approximately 1,000 people at the event, i witnessed TWO raffles for gas gift cards. Now, granted i didn't stay for the 3 or 4 hr service. But i *know* there was not enough to help everyone in the audience with all that was advertised. Also, it was so loud in the auditorium, that i got an awful headache!! Plus, the testimonies didn't seem genuine. It was all screaming to rouse the crowd. I was uncomfortable there. Not my type of church service...especially not one where people are lured there and bombarded. I think they could serve God by simply being genuine, not deceitful.

I have never felt so uncomfortable at a church before. I went for the toy give away they are promoting, I was told upon registering that I HAD to stay for service in order to receive a ticket for the toy pick up, that was false. I was not given anything after the 4 hour service. My children 6 and 7 years old attended the children's church, they told me how uncomfortable they felt. The childrens pastor apparently was praying and touching their four head to "receive the holy spirit" and making them lay on the ground as if they did, my daughter was crying for me and they did not even call for me. My children now do not want to return. Also, as a first time visitor, we were taken to a back room where they prayed some more, but during that time is when I felt EXTREMLY uncomfortable. The pastor was telling my family members to repeat after him as he spoke in "tongue". As a Christian and true believer in Christ, I know that's something NO MAN can give you. Only God himself can touch you in that way. They are in it for publicity and money in my opinion. I will not be going back to this church. Very sad.

Worst experience of my life. Went for the free toy giveaway which I called about prior to the event they mentioned nothing of a 5 hour service. If they would have told me there was going to be that long of a service I would have prepared better and brought food or snacks for my children who are starving and dehydrated by the end of this. The minister was speaking in tongue which made me feel even more uncomfortable. This is a televised event I heard the minister say all of his Services were packed. Also there was no room to sit and the service and they were threatening to take away arm bands for the gifts if you did not watch the sermon. So in my opinion they are out for money publicity it's disgusting for them to hang a present over a child's head at Christmas time is disgusting. I was there a total of 8 hours not one time did anyone offer even a cup of water. Oh no they did have a snack bar which items were $5 that you could purchase but this was an event for people that are less fortunate than others and don't have that kind of money laying around. Some people came in their pajamas because they wanted to get there early and there was no mention of a service to begin with otherwise I'm sure people would have dressed accordingly. I will never ever ever bring my children to this church again and I seriously wouldn't recommend this church to anyone stay away it is a scam

An amazing move of God's Holy Spirit in this church.
I was blow away to see how the pastor waits for God to lead him as he ministers.
The services I went to were very long: 3 - 5 hours each. But it did feel that long because I could sense the Holy Spirit so tangibly here.
The service style is VERY charismatic, with the Holy Spirit given freedom to move, with people falling under God's power, bursing out laughing, etc.
If you need a REAL touch from God that is powerful, come to "the River".Added October 03, 2016 by Henk de Swardt - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
Went to this church for the toy drive on Sunday and was mortified by the way the church was ran and everyone was treated. It was never advertised that this for one, was being held at a church. Or televised. Nobody knew to dress up. Also, that the pastor preaching would talk in 'tongue' and try and make it seem like the building was over flowing with people when in actuality we were there FOR the toy drive. There was also a 4 hour service, that was mandatory we sit through or else we were threatened to get our arm bands taken away that would grant us the toy. 1 toy. Not plural. After and before the service, we had to sit in a line for hours while nothing was provided - not even water, until the end of the day. Where I was standing, there was people PUKING. This church scares me - it's ran as some sort of cult. They are ONLY and ever will be in it for the money, which I guess is why they advertise their debt. The 20,000 in toys was all donated to them, yet they were trying to make it seem like they provided it. The ONLY positive thing I can say about this experience was that my mom I complimented a lovely volunteer on her bracelet, and she gave it to me and said "merry Christmas" - and to that volunteer, thank you. I regifted it to another woman who complimented me.
